‘Lanterns’ is officially in production at DC Studios
This week DC sent out an email to its “Fan First” members – and James Gunn took to Instagram – to reveal the first look at the DCU‘s highly anticipated Lanterns show! Yes, after years of little to no live-action Green Lanterns, fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Lanterns is officially in production!
The above photo shows John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) walking down a road wearing normal, non-superhero attire. If you look closely though, fans can see a Lantern ring on Hal’s right hand. It’s of note that one can’t be seen on John’s hand, though not every finger is visible in this photo.
According to IMDb, “Lanterns follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.” Not much more is known about the show besides a few other cast members who have been announced. Nevertheless, this photo is sure to get Lantern fans excited for the upcoming series!
