The Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer Goes Live
The trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has just dropped giving fans their first exciting look at the 6th Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
An ecstatic crowd from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama got to join the cast live as they launched the trailer to the world. Marvel Studio’s Fantastic Four is finally here!
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach shine as each of their respective characters. The trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps gives the flavor of a fun adventure film set in an alternate timeline that depicts a retro 60s future. Plot details are still scarce but it looks like one of the bigger plot points of the film will be the Fantastic Four taking on Galactus.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be the first film in the MCU’s Phase Six and will be followed in 2026 by Avengers: Doomsday, which they are set to return in also. Possibly we’ll get some set up or lead in for Doomsday in this movie? An appearance by Doctor Doom himself perhaps?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters July 25.
