New ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer drops

Marvel Studios has dropped their 2nd trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine. The trailer, which gives us our first real look at Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, has already racked up millions of views on YouTube.

The Easter egg-filled trailer also gives us more of an idea of where the story is heading in the upcoming film compared to the first trailer released back in February. Deadpool wants to recruit a Wolverine who somehow failed to save his universe’s team of X-Men before it was all whipped out, seeming to imply that this Wolverine/Logan is a variant and a version of the character we might not have seen before while still being the same old Hugh audience know and love.

Marvel Studios has also debuted two new posters featuring the characters staring at each other’s reflections. How romantic.

The trailer also gave us our first look at Cassandra Nova, a powerful psychic mutant born from the dark psychological remnants of Charles Xavier’s lost twin sister. In the comics, Nova seeks to remake the world by genocidal means, using her immense mind control powers, twisting friend and foe alike into puppets for her vision of mutant supremacy.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, 2024.
