James Gunn wants Zoe Saldaña in the DCU

DC Studios, led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, is looking to launch the DCU very soon. This brings all kinds of buzz about who will be playing what roles and what actors/actresses are returning.

Gunn is famous for his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy with Marvel. One of the franchise’s key characters is Gamora (the feisty heroine you can see below), played by none other than Zoe Saldaña. Zoe has now expressed interest in joining the DCU!

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Zoe said that she has sons who love to read comics, so playing a character they could watch on the screen for years would be right up her alley! Then, James Gunn responded to a user on Threads when asked if he would be interested in working with her and whether he had a role in mind – and he said yes to both! This is exciting news for fans of Zoe and Gunn’s work together. Only time will tell the actors/actresses who will land roles in the upcoming DCU, but hopefully, Zoe will be on the list.
