Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Official Trailer Drops; Showcases Major Foe

Transformers are some of the most beloved and well-known characters in pop culture. Their toys are collected and displayed by children and adults of all ages. Lines from the iconic 80’s show, its subsequent follow-ups and the movies can be quoted at the drop of a hat. But most of all, fans thrill every time another movie brings a fresh angle to the world of these magnificent robots in disguise.

This year is no exception, for with the pending release of the latest movie in the live action Transformers series, the full trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has hit the Internet, and with it the face of true evil in this fantastic fictional world is seen once again.

It is a name feared throughout all of creation, a destroyer of worlds and consumer of planets. No, that is not a reference to Galactus or Marvel Comics. This being has a different name, and a different form. One that has filled fans with terror and excitement since it first appeared in the hit 1986 movie (and most recently in the fifth of the Michael Bay films, The Last Knight).

Its name is Unicron. And oh boy does he look magnificent. The fact that audiences are being treated to another go-round with one of the deadliest foes, who is also being described as master of the Terrorcons’ according to various websites, will mean that this is a fight for the very existence of Earth. Which makes the team-up of the Autobots and Maximals all the more important.

Aside from some gorgeous shots showing off Unicron’s amazing form and fabulous action sequences showing off the respective Transformer groups fighting together, what makes this trailer even more amazing is because of the enormity of what is at stake.

So, who will stand and who will fall? Will Unicron devour the Earth and cleanse the galaxy of both Autobots and Maximals? All we can do is get ready to transform and roll out to theaters when this movie comes out.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to release June 9, 2023.
