Harley Quin Season 3 gets a release date and a new teaser trailer

After leaving the Joker in the dust and riding off into the sunset, Kaley Cuoco’s Harley Quinn and Lake Bell’s Poison Ivy are ready to wreak havoc on their honeymoon tour. Premiering on HBO Max on July 28th, the power couple deemed “Harlivy” will reunite with their raunchy rag-tag team, including King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), and Frank the Plant (JB Smoove), for a gut-wrenching good time.

The new teaser trailer features plenty of madness and mayhem that somehow surpasses the provocativeness of prior seasons. From participating in an Eyes-Wide-Shut-styled orgy hosted by the Court of Owls to encountering a Swamp Thing who shoes too much PDA, there’s bound to be plenty more adult humor in this cartoon.

Show creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker have continued to push the boundaries in Harley Quinn since the series first aired in 2016. Despite some skeptics behind the scenes at DC and Warner Bros who are worried that these characters must always be marketed towards children, the mature and zany direction has successfully gained a popular following.

Who knew the combination of millennial nostalgia, shocking gore, and funny foul mouth would be a winning recipe?

As a result, the pair of showrunners now have enough creative control to do pretty much whatever they want, including a spin-off series featuring Kite Man and his love interest Golden Glider currently in development.
