Disney Gives Fans a Refreshing Throwback in New Trailer for Proud Family: Louder and Prouder
Disney has announced and released a new trailer for the upcoming reboot of The Proud Family, titled The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
After a slew of announcements at Disney’s Disney+ Day (or D-Day), new and prospective subscribers have quite a bit of content to look forward to in the coming years, with The Proud Family being one of them.
The show, which was one of many Disney Channel staples in the early 2000s, revolves around Penny Proud, a 14 year old girl who’s trying to gain her independence as she grows up and goes through typical coming of age obstacles (school, potential relationships, etc.) while also dealing with the unique characters that consist of her family. However, in Louder and Prouder, fans can see that Penny is not the same girl as they once remembered her back in the day due to lots of undergone growth, but continues to put up with the same family antics.
Below, you can see the trailer for Louder and Prouder that Disney has put out via Twitter.
Some of the original voice cast will be reprising their roles, such as Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Jo Marie Payton as Suga Mama, and Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud. There are also some new additions such as Maya portrayed by Keke Palmer. However, there is some concern with the absences of LaCienega Boulevardez, and Sticky, and there is still no word on whether Disney Channel alum Orlando Brown will be returning as Sticky or not.
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will be coming exclusively to Disney+ in February 2022.
