“Back 4 Blood” Unleashes Summer Game Fest Trailer

This chaotically insane zombie-killing game rears its lovable, albeit gruesome, head yet again! Back 4 Blood is ramping up to be a return to form for co-op zombie killing games. Where its spiritual inspiration, the beloved Left 4 Dead games, dealt out some devilish, tactical teamwork, we now know that Turtle Rock Studios is ready to evolve that formula to its catastrophically fun conclusion.

As part of the Summer Game Fest yesterday, we got yet another look at just what Back 4 Blood will bring to the table this fall. While the newest trailer is short, it ramps up the insanity in all the right ways. The four heroes are first shown traveling down a dark and claustrophobic hallway, quickly coming under attack as the zombies drop down on them in a nightmarish fashion.

From there, everything escalates to chaotic proportions. Even being armed with Molotov cocktails and machine guns, the group is up against absolutely massive threats. Mowing and burning down hordes, the group is shown contending with an absolute tank of a zombie several times. As if they needed more, it appears even the military is stumped when a gargantuan, bat-like zombie shows up for a tasty treat or four.

Check out the trailer for yourself below:

Back 4 Blood will come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows and will release on October 8, 2021.
