Warner Bros. has officially announced that Godzilla vs Kong will now release on March 31st. The movie was previously scheduled to release on March 26th after it’s release was moved up by two months.
The movie will still release simultaneously on HBO Max and in theaters just the same as before. This delay seems to be in response to the delay of the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die, which was expected to release in April after numerous delays due to COVID-19.
Legendary, much like almost every other movie studio, was upset with Warner Bros. when they decided they were going to release their movies on HBO Max and in theaters simultaneously. No worries though, Legendary and Warner Bros. finally came to a nice agreement and we can finally watch Godzilla take on King Kong.
Godzilla vs Kong will release on HBO Max and in theaters on March 31st, 2021 and will be directed by Adam Wingard.
