HBO’s Friends Reunion is due to start filming in March
The long awaited F.R.I.E.N.D.S reunion will finally start filming in march of 2021. The reunion episode was scheduled to debut on HBOMax in May to kickstart Warner’s foray into the streaming industry, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, filming was postponed.
Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) will be joined by the original cast consisting of Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller). The one-off special will be shot at the show’s iconic Warner Bros. soundstage, stage 24 in Burbank, Calif.
Ben Winston (the “Late, Late Show With James Corden” producer) will direct the special and executive produce alongside the original “Friends” executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer are also executive producing, with Emma Conway and James Longman on board as co-executive producers.
Warner Bros. Unscripted & Fulwell 73 Productions Alternative Television and Alternative Television Productions are producing the special.
Seems like HBO Max has a lot of stuff planned out for 2021. What are you most excited about?
