[Rumor] Key plot points for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad have been leaked

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film seems to be the talk of the town lately. From the massive amounts of story related rumors, casting announcements, and even the recent departure of Tom Hardy have caused headline after headline for the film.

The following rumored plot points have made their way online through various sources, with no one site claiming exclusivity to any of them. The reported rumors allegedly come from various test and focus groups who have had the opportunity to meet with members of the production staff to discuss the film.

Without further ado, lets give a quick run down of what has made its way online:

**WARNING – MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW**

  • The film will focus on Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), and The Joker (Jared Leto).
  • Harley Quinn meets Deadshot at Arkham Asylum during her attempt breakout The Joker.
  • Deadshot is at Arkham trying to assassinate The Joker.
  • Harley and Deadshot both fail, are captured, and transferred to Belle Reve penitentiary by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
  • Amanda Waller’s personal bodyguard is none other than Deathstroke.
  • The Joker is also transferred to Belle Reve by Waller.
  • The Joker will be incarcerated for the majority of the film, kept in an isolation wing (think Hannibal Lecter)
  • Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) is already an active member of Waller’s Task Force X aka “Suicide Squad.”
  • Deadshot killed Boomerang’s Father, causing “instant-tension” between the two.
  • Waller assembles her team for their first mission; Preventing a gang from stealing a Bio-weapon from Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
  • Luthor’s “Bio-Weapon” is The Enchantress (Cara Delevingne).
  • Luthor wants her for her “magical abilities.”
  • Enchantress will suffer from split-personalities; One is June Moone, the other is The Enchantress.
  • Instead of returning her to Luthor, she is brought to Waller.
  • Waller has a special wing dedicated to Meta-Humans.
  • King Shark will be among the character cameos in prison.
  • There is a large scale prison riot at the end of the film; Resulting in many prisoners escaping.
  • The Joker breaks out at the film’s ending.
  • It’s implied that Waller assembled the team with the long term goal to hunt down and capture Batman.
  • Batman appears at the ending of the film, commenting on finding the Joker.

It has also been reported by latino-review that there is a MAJOR plot-twist involving Rick Flag toward the end of the film, leading to the prison riot/breakout, if you are curious to finding out the game changing twist, be sure to check out their report.

With all of these rumors spreading like a wildfire, its hard to tell which ones are accurate and which ones are simply fans filling in the blanks. One thing is for sure, I would be extremely happy to find the above list to be accurate.

Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters next year on August 5th 2016.
