When Kingdom Hearts 3 was first revealed at E3 2013, fans promptly assumed it was a few years off. But it now seems, to everyone’s surprise, that we may be getting Kingdom Hearts 3 this year.
Bill Farmer, voice actor for Goofy, says that as far as he’s been told, the long-awaited sequel is due out later this year. That’s right, in 2015. But that’s not all, he also has revealed that his voice recording is already finished.
News broke thanks to Farmer’s tweets (first reported by NeoGAF). And although Square Enix has been extremely quiet on the matter, the actor insisted that his claims are factual:
If true, this could easily be one of the biggest surprises of the year. At this point Square Enix has yet to comment, and likely wont confirm or deny anything until E3 of this year. Until then, fans everywhere are hoping that this is true.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
