Former Ghostbuster disapproves of the All-Female Reboot
Not long ago, Sony revealed that they are planning to reboot the Ghostbusters franchise, but instead of doing a typical reboot with a similar cast filling similar roles, they plan to do an all-female reboot.
Since that reveal, it seems everyone wanted to voice their option, but in a recent interview with the UK Telegraph, Ernie Hudson , a former Ghostbuster, voiced his opinion on the project:
“I heard it was going to be a total reboot, and that it would have nothing to do with the other two movies. If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it’s all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters? I love females. I hope that if they go that way at least they’ll be funny, and if they’re not funny at least hopefully it’ll be sexy. I love the idea of including women, I think that’s great. But all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don’t think the fans want to see that.”
Hudson’s words voice the same opinion that countless fans have of this project, simply put: We don’t want it. Hopefully soon enough Sony gets the memo and moves on, and leaves the Ghostbusters alone.
