JIM CORRIGAN AKA THE SPECTRE Joins NBC’s CONSTANTINE
Just when you thought DC was already dominating TV with their comic book shows, they hit fans with another huge reveal. DC recently told IGN that actor Emmett Scanlan (In the Flesh, and recently in Guardians of the Galaxy) will play Jim Corrigan, the human counterpart who later becomes The Spectre.
IGN was able to also get a character description of how Corrigan will be portrayed in teh upcoming show:
On Constantine, Corrigan will be a homicide detective in New Orleans who is plunged into Constantine’s world of occult horrors. Furthermore, Corrigan is someone who is obsessed with justice, and who doesn’t let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman.
Previously DC had revealed that they wanted to bring the character to the show, and eventually even spin the character off into his own show, and hopefully if his appearance takes off the way we hope, we may see a “Spectre” TV show soon enough.
NBC’s CONTSTANTINE premiers this October.
