Thanks to the guys over at WorldsFinestOnline we have gotten our first look at the backing to DC’s upcoming animated film, Batman: Assault On Arkham, which revealed the title of DC’s next animated film, JUSTICE LEAGUE: THRONE OF ATLANTIS.
With the film first teased in the post-credit scene of JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR, DC has repeatedly stated they were planning an Aquaman centered animated film, and it looks like we have it now.
The irony is that 90% of this films proposed plot also lines up with the rumors of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman’s motives in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, with Aquaman coming to the surface world to confront those responsible for polluting his oceans after a catastrophic event occurred, this film being the aftermath of Darkseid’s siege, and Batman V Superman’s being the “world engine” form Man Of Steel.
Either way, fans of Aquaman will soon be in for a treat.
JUSTICE LEAGUE: THRONE OF ATLANTIS currently has no set release date but is rumor to release later this year.
