[Rumor] THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 Pushed Back to 2017

For reasons as of yet unknown, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be pushed back to 2017, reports Ain’t It Cool news.

The triptych title had been set for June 10, 2016, but we may not get to see the next webslingin’ movie until 2017. There are several reasons why the movie may be getting pushed back. For one, the Summer 2016 movie slot will be fairly busy, especially if the rumors about DC’s leaked release schedule are true. Another reason could be that director Marc Webb has plans to work on another project. Still another reason could simply be that Sony can’t afford to produce the third movie that soon, since The Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn’t reach their box office sales expectations.

Whatever the reason, this certainly impedes Sony’s wishes to “have a Spider-Man movie every year.” Looks like we’ll have to wait and see if Sony confirms the rumor or not.
