Marvel has put the production of their One-Shot Short Films on hold

Earlier today a press release for the Blu-Ray/DVD release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier revealed the absense of a new Marvel One-Shot, leaving many to wonder if it was simply a typo or if the film wouldnt have one at all.

Now EW has confirmed that there will not be a new short film this time around, but it also seems that they may be putting the whole concept on hold for now.

Executives there have told EW in the past that they might bring a temporary halt to the One-Shots if they didn’t have a strong story idea or their full focus was needed on the feature film pipeline.

While no official word from Marvel has hit yet concerning the reasoning behind why the short films have been put on hold, many are speculating that it to simply focus more on the films themselves than anything else.
