Halo TV Series Set to Launch Fall 2015

Halo 5: Guardians was formally announced and is now set to launch on Xbox One in the fall of 2015. In addition, Steven Spielberg’s Halo TV series will debut alongside the next adventure in the series.

Showtime is working with Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios for the new TV Series, unfortunately that would mean the show will air on the premium cable network first.

The blog announcement by 343 Industries GM Bonnie Ross stated that The Halo series “will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience.”

Another interesting note is that recently a Casting Announcement also took place that indicated actor Mike Coltor  (The Good Wife) would be joining the project in an unspecified role. The announcement tied the actor to Ridley Scott’s “Digital Halo Feature” but didn’t specify if that would mean he would be starring in the show itself or if it was just for that one project that Ridley Scott was tied to.

Xbox Entertainment Studios has a six other original shows and 11 more in development, which we will see more information on during E3 this June.
