TMNT Gets Last-Minute Cast Additions

The upcoming blockbuster featuring everyone’s favorite half-shelled heroes has just added on some new vocal talent.

Leonardo will now be voiced by Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), and Master Splinter will be voiced by Tony Shaloub (Monk). The characters were portrayed during filming by Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn, who were apparently only contracted by the studio to perform as the characters in costume.

Considering the movie will be released in August this change seems almost last-minute, but sources inside the studio had hinted that the vocal recast was always a possibility.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to release August 8th.
