Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Sandman film now has its writer

A few months ago, fans were blown away with the news that actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to be bringing the critically acclaimed “Sandman” to film. While not much else was revealed at the time about its production, we now have an update to add to the excitement, it officially has a writer.

Deadline is now reporting that Warner Bros. has gotten writer Jack Thorne (How I Live Now) to write the screenplay for the film.

At this point we know that  that David Goyer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are attached to produce the film, with Neil Gaiman himself executive producing, but we have no word yet on cast. Many are hoping that Levitt takes on the role himself, but he dodged answering the quest and stated that the production has “lots of potential, but it’s still very early.”
