Not that long ago, The Guardians appeared in animated form on The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and apparently it went well, or at least they want kids to know who these guys are.
According to an “inside source” informed Comic Book Movies that Marvel had originally saw trouble with deciding between either a new Guardian’s cartoon or to do another (possibly separate) Spider-Man cartoon than the current Ultimate Spider-Man, but a key factor in their decision was that with the Guardians movie on the way this summer, Marvel decided to go with making an animated Guardian’s of the Galaxy show for kids, presumably to air alongside Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
