Earlier tonight at the 2013 VGX awards show Telltale announced Tales from the Borderlands, an upcoming episodic series coming in 2014.
It was revealed that the project will include both existing and new characters set in the Borderlands universe, some of whom are simply described as “wanna-be Vault Hunters” according to Gearbox head Randy Pitchford.
Pitchford also stated that Tales from the Borderlands is still “very much in the Borderlands world” but differs from previous games because it contains Telltale’s typical point and click style gameplay, though to ease fans minds he promised that it will still be “big and bombastic.”
It was also revealed that Telltale will develop the game itself, with Gearbox simply consulting on the project.
