Has Ben Kingsley’s Secret MARVEL Project Been Revealed?

**** WARNING IRON MAN 3 SPOILERS TO FOLLOW****

Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 did incredibly well at the box office, like grossing over a billion dollars well. However, while Critics for the most part gave it solid marks, fans tore the movie apart for the “liberties” taken with the Mandarin.

The films big twist revealed that Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin wasn’t really the Mandarin, and turned out his character was really a man named Trevor Slattery, a drugged out British actor hired by Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) to pose as the face of his actions.

Fast forward to last week.

Kingsley was recently doing press for Ender’s Game last week, and when the actor was asked if we will see him again in future films he revealed something surprising:

“It’s a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see, I was with many members of the crew that were involved in Iron Man 3. It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family, I think they have enormous taste as creative artists. There’s nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they’re great company to keep.”

So what is this big secret? Latino-Review.com seems to think  they have the scoop.

According to sources, Marvel wants to make it up to fans so in the one shot, the REAL Mandarin is furious with Aldrich Killian and Ben Kingsley’s character Trevor Slattery for the mockery they made of the real Mandarin’s identity and legacy. The real Mandarin wants to set the record straight.

So mind you, this is just a rumor. But what an interesting rumor this is. Marvel has proven recently that they have everything planned out, and fans are now pointing to the pivotal line in the film where Ben Kingsley character states that they gave “him plastic surgery” so he could take on the role, as the indicator that its likely Ben Kingsley is going to be playing both the REAL Mandarin and Trevor Slattery in this upcoming Marvel Short film.

At this point, we now have more questions rather than answers. But time will tell what exactly this secret film is, and fans are hoping that Marvel delivers.
