The silence is finally broken, Ben Affleck Comments on his casting as Batman

While it seems like at this point that everyone has given their 2cents on the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the upcoming sequel to Man Of Steel, many have noticed that there has indeed been one person  that has yet to comment, that being Ben Affleck himself.

That changed last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

While promoting his new film, the two discussed various topics, from Parenting all the way to the casting of Batman.

“They called me up and said: Do you want to do this? And I thought: Well, I’m not 25, man, are you sure about this? [They said] Come down, I want to show you what we’re doing. And It was incredible. Zack Snyder is directing it. It’s an incredible take on it. Obviously you can’t do what Christian [Bale] did, those movies are amazing, so he wants to do something different.”

Finally, he goes on to address that WB sat down with him and warned him about the negative backlash that would follow the reveal of his casting, to which he responded:

“You cant say it before the movie comes out, It doesn’t matter what people think then, its what they think when you see the movie. I’m a big boy, if I can handle Emmy snub, I can handle anything.”

“And they told me just to not use the internet for a few days, and I said, “I don’t..this is not.. I HANDLE SH*T.”

Fallon then goes on to mention that he gets to go to Comic Con and win over all the fans then and there, to which he responded:

“I mean part of it is like when you see the materials and you see the take, it’s a very hard thing to describe – without giving away the story and what it is.”
