Fans of the hit BBC show Doctor Who apparently have a longer wait than previously thought. After the 50th anniversary episode and Christmas special, the next episodes won’t air until Autumn of 2014, according to series writer Steven Moffat.
Doctor Who may not be quite the force it was when it returned with Christopher Eccleston and in its David Tennant heyday in the UK, but has a growing audience in the US on cable channel BBC America.
It will not return next year until the autumn, giving it plenty of time to recharge batteries. And what better way to do that than with a new Doctor?
Looks like those of us waiting to cast judgement on Peter Capaldi’s Doctor will have to wait more than a year now. We all know Moffat has a lot on his plate what with Sherlock Season 3 starting early 2014, but does he have too many irons in the fire?
Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode will air on November 23rd.
