WATCH_DOGS is getting a Movie thanks to Sony, Ubisoft, and New Regency

In a surprise move that may borderline on overconfidence, it was revealed today that Sony, Ubisoft, and New Regency are moving forward with a film adaptation of the upcoming WATCH_DOGS game.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had this to say:

“I think this will be very important for the industry,”  

Ubisoft Motion Pictures is already collaborating with New Regency for the upcoming movies based on Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell, and now with Sony brought into the mix, it may seem that Ubisoft may be getting the much needed push to see these properties hit the silver screen successfully.
