Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luthor in 10 films? Matt Damon for Aquaman or the Martian Manhunter?

While the long lasting rumor that Bryan Cranston is up for playing Lex Luthor is always ever present, the team over at Cosmic Book Movies may have just added a whole new grade of fuel to the rumor mill’s engine with the additon that WB/DC is now eyeing Ben Afflecks close friend and collaborator actor Matt Damon to be either playing Aquamen or Martian Manhunter.

Now while the latter of these two options seems beyond silly, since most of what Martian Manhunter would be is either heavy prosthetics or CGI and Damon’s voice certainly doesn’t fit the bill, but as Aquaman seems more likely.

While as mentioned before, the rumor that Bryan Cranston playing Lex Lurthor is nothing new, they do seem to add that the contract would tie him to play the role for anywhere been 6 and 10 films.

Yes, 10 films.

Which if you take the logical look at this, would seemingly imply that the role wouldn’t solely be limited to Superman films, because lets be real, if they made 1 film every 2 years, we would be seeing a Lex Luthor age end up being closer to Batman’s butler Alfred than to any menace to Superman.

For now, we wait. But given that the upcoming Batman/Superman films production is rumored to begin shortly after the new year, its likely we may be gearing up and getting some casting confirmation real soon.
