The LA Times may just have broken the big surprise that DC/WB had planned. To everyones surprise they have revealed today that Warner Bros. is about to bring together Superman and Batman will unite in a new film, which will act as the follow-up to “Man of Steel,” and set for release in 2015.
According to their report, they have two sources within Warner Bros. and that they intend to announce the news at its Comic-Con International panel.
The site also reports that “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder is expected to reunite with writer David S. Goyer along with Henry Cavill for the new film. But admittedly It’s unlikely Christian Bale return as Batman, which will lead to the film being the introduction for the new rebooted Batman.
While the news isn’t exactly a confirmation and could still turn out to be a rumor, fans are already “freaking out” with excitement for the idea that we may finally see DC’s biggest two heroes finally together on screen.
