It sure has been a long time coming. When “Pitch Black” first released in 2000, it got mediocre reviews but gained somewhat of a cult following, enough to garnish a sequel in 2004 called The Chronicles of Riddick and a subsequent animated tie in called The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury produced the same year.
Then nothing for 9 years. Now today the first trailer for the latest installment in the Riddick series hits the web, and all at once I remembered why I enjoyed those movies.
