It seems that from a report by Hypable, that they uncovered a post on the Orlando United forum(and apparently from a reputable and reliable user), who claims that Universal Studios asked Warner Bros. to raise the topic of a potential Theme Park with the Tolkien estate.
The theme park is rumored to consist of rides and recreations based on what has been already seen with The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. Allegedly according to the report, Warner Bros. recently told the members of Tolkien’s estate about the financial success of The Wizarding World (the Harry Potter based theme park) and how because the final product was extremely loyal to J.K. Rowling’s story, it proved a financial success and in turned very well received by fans. Which led to the further report that members of the Tolkien’s Estate even spoke to Rowling herself, in regards to this and It was only after all this that Universal and the Tolkien’s began developing ideas for this potential project.
Now while this is all currently listed in the RUMOR category I for one would shell out the money to fly wherever this part would be built, just so i could geek out and run around the shire.
