‘Mythbusters’ is going to do a ‘Breaking Bad’ Inspired Episode

Words cannot describe how great this is. I think everyone should just sit in Awe for a moment while this sinks in.

Ok, thats better. Breaking Bad, is hands down one of the most intense and revered shows I have ever seen, and even currently on television. This show is done so well in fact that rarely does anyone question anything that happens. Bottom line, It never feels fake.

Because of this, the crew from the popular Discovery Channel show MythBusters are also fans of this Vince Gilligan‘s AMC thriller. And because of this, they sought out Vince Gilligan and turns out he is a fan of them. That shared love and mutual respect has lead to one of the greatest things I have heard all week, The Breaking Bad creator and Aaron Paul, are now set to appear on an upcoming episode Mythbusters.

Entertainment Weekly broke the news of this amazingly awesome upcoming episode, which much to my surprise is actually currently filming and expected to premiere in the Spring in an upcoming episode of their next season.

We’re going to push the limit of humor about this as far as we can, and it’s a difficult line because Mythbusters is a family show. A lot of people watch it with their kids, and yet we’re doing with a collaboration with pretty much the least family-oriented show on television right now, about a science teacher turned drug manufacturer who kills people. At the same time, they’re very committed to getting the scene right on that show. The fact that those guys love science and they want us to test their stuff — and they don’t care whether we bust it or not, they want to actually know the answer — that’s our favorite kind of collaboration.

Naturally we cant expect them to be making real 99% grade meth on Television, but it turns out that The Mythbusters crew had originally planned on doing three Breaking Bad inspired TV myths in the episode but due to time restrictions they are now only able to do two of them. Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will test the scene from Season One where Walt tells Jesse to “dispose” of a body with acid but it eventually melts through the ceiling because it was attempted in the wrong receptacle. Tory Belleci, Kari Byron, and Grant Imahara will do a second scene based on an event that had also taken place in the first season, but they wouldn’t say which scene.

This is going to be the best episode ever.
