Sony announces new PlayStation 3 model

Late last night Sony reveled a new PlayStation 3 Model at its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference. This new model will be 50% smaller than the original PlayStation 3 and 25% smaller than the current Slim model, and will showcase a new HDD size as well.
The new PS3 model will come in Charcoal Black and Classic White.

The Black color will come in 250 GB and 500 GB models. Meanwhile, Europe will actually be getting a model with 12 GB of internal flash memory.

U.S.

250 GB Model – September 25th | $269

500 GB Model – October 10th | $299

The 250 GB Model in the U.S. will have a limited edition bundle that comes with Uncharted 3 Game of the Year Edition and a credit for $30 worth of content for the game Dust 514.

The 500 GB model will have its own limited edition bundle for the holidays, with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 included.

Japan

12 GB Flash Memory Model – October 12th | 229 Euros

The full announcement was made this morning and now that Tokyo Game Show is now officially beginning, more announcements from Sony are bound to be on their way.
