A year after the events that transpired in Paris, retired Intelligence agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is once again forced to take action when an Albanian gangster Murad Hoxha (Rade Šerbedžija) abducts Bryan and his ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) during a vacation in Istanbul as revenge for Bryan torturing and killing his son Marko in Paris. Bryan now has to rely on his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) to help them get out.
