According to Variety, DC & Warner Brothers are also now eying are still developing movies featuring Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lobo, The Suicide Squad, Shazam and Wonder Woman.
While Green Lantern 2 is still undecided, leaving the studio unsure if they want to make a sequel or whether or not to bring back Ryan Reynolds in a sequel or to simply, “relaunch the character in a completely new way.” It is entirely possible that they wouldn’t have to reboot the character, and just start a new one featuring John Stewart, Guy Gardner, or Kyle Rayner.
Its also speculated that with next years new Zack Snyder Superman movie, The Man of Steel, will be the start of this new continuity and eventually lead to a new Batman series that fits in with them.
With this report comes news that Michael Goldenberg, one of the writers attached to Green Lantern, has been hired to write Wonder Woman, and Brad Peyton is working on a current draft for Lobo.
It is interesting to note that WB is pushing forward with all of these characters now, which could add some backing to the rumors that they are doing it in response to the success of The Avengers, or it could be simply because now without Harry Potter, they need a yearly financial booster.
