Mortal Kombat Studio Announces a new DC COMICS Fighting Game, Injustice: Gods Among Us

While NetherRealm Studios’  are not exactly new to making DC games, the famed studio who created the MORTAL KOMBAT franchise was bought by Warner Bros. after the success of  Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The crossover fighting game was Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios’ last project, prior to being acquired by WB and with it, it gave them the means to get t to work on the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot.

Now NetherRealm Studios is back to the Superheroes and now comes with it is a fighting game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us.

While not much has been released so far, (more than likely we all will see a full announcement at E3 next weekend) the game will showcase DC heroes and villains with an original story, and from the initial announcement  it’s targeting 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

The announcement video does show Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Solomon Grundy, and Harley Quinn and implies the story focuses on the heroes of the DC universe turning into a threat.

While its true, there is not much to go on. The trailer speaks for itself.
