New game info from Square-Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura

One of the creative minds behind many of Square-Enix’s most fan favored games Tetsuya Nomura  reveled in a recent issue of Japan’s gaming magazine Famitsu that development of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was unfortunately falling behind schedule, and that contrary to his plans from last October, the game will probably not be shown at E3 this year.

The main reason is due to some changes made to the world map system to display the characters. In the article itself, he went on to compare the visual styles to what FFvXIII’s world map system would look like to FF* but would now be changed to look like FF* ( unfortunately for us Famitsu decided to remove the actual numbers of the other Final Fantasy games he compare it to and replaced them with a lovely asterisks).

Tetsuya Nomura also mentioned to Famitsu that the next Kingdom Hearts title to be released won’t be Kingdom Hearts III, and will not star Sora( the main character of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2). But the next game will however be more like Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days with its purpose to bridge the stories in previous titles, and the protagonist will be another central player in the series. Nomura also mentioned he hopes to have one Kingdom Hearts game released every year, which could easily indicate the next one will be released sometime next year in 2011.
