For those of you who don’t automatically recognize the name Terence Stamp, the acclaimed actor is best known for his Iconic performance of General Zod in Superman: The Movie (1978) and Superman II (1980), and after his recent disapproval of the critically panned Superman reboot Man Of Steel, this next story may not be exactly surprising, but it is pretty funny.<\/p>\n

Yahoo Movies<\/a> revealed the following story:<\/p>\n

“I spent an hour and a half driving down here from Ojai, and the first thing I wanted to do when I got out was take a leak,\u201d Stamp told the audience at the LA Landmark Theatre.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI go into the men’s bathroom and there’s a whole load of guys \u2013 obviously, \u2018Man Of Steel\u2019 had just turned out. So I take a pee, and I start washing my hands, and there’s about 10 or 12 guys there, and they’re talking about \u2018Man Of Steel\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOne says, ‘Well, I don’t know. If they’d have, like, peeled the buildings off the screen I wouldn’t have been surprised, you know?’ Another says, ‘It was all so loud.’ Then the guy down at the other end, who was only a little guy, said, ‘Yeah, yeah!’ And he said ‘It really wasn’t as good as the first one, was it?’\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI just couldn’t resist,\u201d laughed Stamp, \u201cI said, ‘You’re a very discerning man.’ And as soon as they heard the voice they said, [screaming] ‘Oh my God! It’s General Zod!’\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As mentioned above, the actor himself has been extremely outspoken and very critical of the reboot. stating that:<\/p>\n

“They’ve become unemotional, and so I was sad. I thought it would be diluted, in other words.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But you cant deny that the story of he random interruption of some fans discussion of the film is pretty amazing.<\/p>\n
