And it was pretty straight forward.<\/p>\n<p>But, there were a lot of questions. Now we know that Sony admits, third-party publishers can dictate their own DRM terms.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Well, I mean, we create the platform, we&#8217;ve certainly stated that our first-party games are not going to be doing that, but we welcome publishers and their business models to our platform,&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;There&#8217;s gonna be free-to-play, there&#8217;s gonna be every potential business model on there, and again, that&#8217;s up to their relationship with the consumer, what do they think is going to put them in the best fit. We&#8217;re not going to dictate that, we&#8217;re gonna give them a platform to publish on.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;The DRM decision is going to have to be answered by the third parties, it&#8217;s not something we&#8217;re going to control, or dictate, or mandate, or implement,&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So what does this mean for Fan? Probably nothing. The thing I took away from last night, and more than likely this still stands, is that ps4 will allow all gaming offline, but if the game is multiplayer, it may potentially need an online pass or something along those lines, almost exactly like how it currently is with ps3.<\/p>\n<div data-jsid=\"message\">In short, nothing is probably changing from ps3 to ps4.<\/div>\n<div data-jsid=\"message\"><\/div>\n<div data-jsid=\"message\">Sure, some devs could potentially add multiple levels of DRM or registration codes, but given the amount of uproar from yesterday, its highly unlikely that any Dev would do this in fear of the massive uproar that would be caused by Fans.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nIn what seemed like the moment Sony fanboys cheered out against Xbox, Sony revealed their used game plan.
