With the conclusion of the Fullmetal Alchemist show in 2004 (2006 in America) fans felt the conclusion of the show to be bitter sweet. The show was over but didn’t feel complete. The ending felt as if the show was meant to always be stuck in tragedy and loss, and the Elric brothers would never find what they were truly searching for, and it wasn’t until the movie “Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa”<\/em> was released (Japan 2005, America 2006) that the show truly felt like it was complete.<\/p>\n

But the Manga kept going.<\/p>\n

For the fans who didn’t know at the time of watching the show, the manga followed a different story line, a more complex one. While the show took it own route, the manga stayed doing what it had already done. It didn’t take fans long to find that the manga provided a richer story than the show had, and in time because of the love fans (as well as the creator) had for it, a new show was given life.<\/p>\n

Enter Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Its not a sequel, and might not even be considered a remake by some. Its a retelling of the Manga’s story in animated form.<\/p>\n

With the new show only two episodes aired thus far with its Japanese release many thought that this show would run its course in Japan first then premier in America like previous anime series have done in the past, but Funimation (its US distribution company) decided to do something new.<\/p>\n

Funimation<\/a> announced that it would be releasing new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood<\/em> episodes on their site fully subtitled and ready for streaming airing only days after its release in japan.<\/p>\n

With only two episodes online now, the new Fullmetal Alchemist show is already looking like its going to be a wonderful addition to the franchise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
