\"middleearth\"<\/a>Whether you like the game or not, there are some things that you can do in Minecraft that you just can’t do in other games, such as rebuild the entire world of Middle Earth.<\/p>\n

That’s exactly what a group of players from Minecraft Middle-Earth decided to do back in October 2010; and over two years later, the amount of progress they have made is astounding. Thousands of man hours<\/strong> have gone into this, from the core group that started it all, to the massive build events they have where they bring in people from the community to help out.<\/p>\n

They have recreated the majority of the world entirely by hand, placing individual trees and blocks of grass, allowing them to add much more detail than if they were to use the world creation methods. \u00a0Fangorn forest, for example, took 4 months<\/strong> to make by itself, and has roughly 40,000 trees<\/strong> in it, individually placed by the builders.<\/p>\n

\"ibjuUm796O7PYa\"<\/a>They aren’t cutting any corners either, making the world on a 1:3 scale to Tolkien’s original\u00a0on average. Entire mountain ranges and forests have been created, as well as all the landmarks from the books and movies. \u00a0There are people working on the servers building every single day, and even after years of work, they are only about halfway done. \u00a0All of the lore of the world is being looked at, so even if a location isn’t mentioned directly in the films or books, they will still include it if J.R.R. Tolkien made note of it in one of his works.<\/p>\n

Here are a couple movies below you can check out, as you really can’t grasp the magnitude of this project without seeing it first. \u00a0If there is such a thing as having too much talent, then that title surely goes to the people of Minecraft Middle Earth.<\/p>\n
