Assassin\u2019s Creed Vol 2 \u2013 Aquilus\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is the second volume in a series of French graphic novels created by Eric Corbeyran <\/strong>and\u00a0Djilalli Defali.\u00a0<\/strong>Titan Books<\/strong>\u00a0has localized and\u00a0released\u00a0all 3 volumes for the first time in English for fans of the series here in the US.<\/p>\n

As explained in the previous review<\/a>\u00a0for Volume 1, this series tells the story of\u00a0Desmond Miles, just like the game,<\/strong>\u00a0but instead goes into a much different story than that seen in the games, and while the books are not\u00a0officially\u00a0Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Cannon, they still offer a very exciting and worthwhile read to any fan of the franchise.<\/p>\n

Volume 2 \u2013 Aquilus\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>– Tells the continued as it left off in volume 1, but unlike the games, it seems to fill most of its story during the “Travel time” that took place in the game.<\/p>\n

All in all,\u00a0Assassin\u2019s Creed vol 2 \u2013 Aquilus<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was an extremely\u00a0entertaining\u00a0read. Having played all the games I caught all the hidden references with ease, but heavily enjoyed the story additions.<\/p>\n

Most of the first half of the book takes place while the main group is driving to Ezio’s Villa<\/strong> (just like in Assassins Creed Brotherhood<\/em><\/strong>) but unlike in the game, they travel in a larger group, get attacked by modern day\u00a0Templar’s\u00a0 and the bleeding effect is taking hold on Desmond<\/strong> much earlier than it did in the game.<\/p>\n

Vol 2<\/strong> also continues the story of the Roman Assassin Aquilus<\/strong> and his search for those who betrayed him and his family during their quest for use and understanding of the Piece of Eden<\/strong> they now\u00a0posses.<\/p>\n

Bottom line, as I said wit the last one, if you are a fan of comic books and\u00a0Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em><\/strong>, this comic book series is a must.\u00a0Especially\u00a0if you had \u00a0read the first volume.<\/p>\n
