Yesterday afternoon while I was getting ready to leave work, I get a call from my local Gamestop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Taylor, I’m pleased to inform you that your copy of LittleBigPlanet Vita<\/em><\/strong> is now ready for pick up”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Confused by this message, I headed over to that Gamestop because last I heard, LitteBigPlanet Vita<\/em> <\/strong>wasn’t suppose to be released until Sept 25th.<\/p>\n

“The release date got moved up and we have it for you today”<\/big><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Without hesitation I bought my game, went home and began playing it. And it is wonderful.<\/p>\n

However, I was still a little puzzled that I hadn’t heard any sort of release date related announcement come from Sony<\/strong>. So I went online to see what the deal was.<\/p>\n

Not much time had passed where I found that IGN<\/strong> was reporting that Gamestop’s<\/strong> all over are selling this game early.<\/p>\n

Whether or not this move has been authorized by Sony remains to be seen, but the game is currently in the hands of players well ahead of its release date.<\/em><\/p>\n

On Twitter, users like MyVitaFeed<\/a> have pictures of the game in their possession. Likewise, NKilburne<\/a> has also posted a picture of his Vita\u2019s screen playing the game. IGN reader Vargeth<\/a> has also provided photographic proof. These copies were apparently purchased from various GameStop outlets.<\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve also contacted two Bay Area GameStop stores inquiring about the game\u2019s availability. One store said that they had no copies, but the other store verified that they have two copies left. It’s unclear if the street date has been broken outside of North America, or by any other retailer domestically.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While this entire situation is still as far as i can tell unconfirmed by Sony, fact of the matter is LittleBigPlanet Vita<\/em><\/strong> is now out and for sale by Gamestop<\/strong>. If you haven’t picked it up yet, do it now while they still have a copy or two left.<\/p>\n
