{"id":6028,"date":"2012-09-12T13:27:23","date_gmt":"2012-09-12T20:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wakingideas.com\/blog\/?p=6028"},"modified":"2012-09-12T13:27:23","modified_gmt":"2012-09-12T20:27:23","slug":"debunked-apparently-no-directors-cut-for-the-dark-knight-rises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=6028","title":{"rendered":"[DEBUNKED] Apparently No Directors Cut for The Dark Knight Rises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/media.comicbookmovie.com\/images\/users\/uploads\/10300\/024782989204.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Who would&#8217;ve thought that a director that never does directors cut, and never includes deleted scenes in his films, would actually shoot down the rumors of a supposed <strong>Directors Cut<\/strong> for<strong><em> The Dark Knight Rises<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Didn&#8217;t see that one coming.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who are upset about this new turn of events consider this there are often very few (if any) deleted scenes featured on the home releases of <strong>Christopher Nolan&#8217;s<\/strong> films, so for anyone to assume and\/or believe that\u00a0 he&#8217;d change his entire policy now and actually have enough left over footage to make an even longer version of his final <strong>Batman<\/strong> film, which was already nearly three hours long as it currently stands, is far too big of an assumption for anyone to make.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.indiewire.com\/theplaylist\/confirmed-no-extended-directors-cut-of-the-dark-knight-rises-exists-or-is-planned-20120912?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter#\">The Playlist<\/a> have reached out to <strong>Nolan&#8217;s<\/strong> reps and have received this response: <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><big><strong>&#8220;&#8230;no such plans exist, and reports of an extended cut of the film are incorrect.&#8221;<\/strong>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nWho would&#8217;ve thought that a director that never does directors cut, and never includes deleted scenes in his films, would&hellip;\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"link-more\"><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/?p=6028\" class=\"more-link\">Continue reading<span class=\"screen-reader-text\"> &ldquo;
