Dolph Lundgren<\/strong> has recently been going on his rounds of promotions and interviews for his new movie, The Expendables 2<\/em><\/strong>, and recently had been getting tons of questions about the new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe<\/em><\/strong> film thats been reportedly in the works. For those who don’t know, he once played the title character of He-Man<\/strong> in the characters first live-action film in 1987 tittled Masters of the Universe<\/strong><\/em>, And when asked which young actor he thought could fill his shoes (and loincloth) he initially thought of Magic Mike’s<\/em> Channing Tatum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In an interview by the Huffington Post<\/em><\/a> he was asked if there were any young actors that he thought would be a good fit for the role of He-Man.<\/p>\n

It came out this week that there might be a new “Masters of the Universe” movie. Who would you pick to take over as He-Man?<\/strong>
\nWell, let’s see. You need somebody who’s well built and charming, I suppose. And he can deliver a couple of lines of dialogue, I guess more than I had [laughs]. I mean, Channing Tatum? I don’t know. I don’t know that many young actors. But he’s got a pretty good body. He’s got a naturally athletic body which you need, unless you make the guy wear a suit, like Batman. But if you need real muscles, you need somebody who is built.<\/em><\/p>\n

What about Chris Hemsworth?<\/strong>
\nYeah! That’s a good idea. That’s a cool idea, yeah.<\/em><\/p>\n

So you’re on board?<\/strong>
\nI’m on board. I second that opinion.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While I agree that Chris Hemsworth<\/strong> would make a fantastic He-Man<\/strong>, I honestly don’t see that role happening for him due to his already full schedule thanks to Thor 2<\/em><\/strong> and The Avengers 2<\/em><\/strong>, plus the recently revealed solo sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman<\/em><\/strong>, however, I could see his younger brother and another title character from The Expendables 2<\/em><\/strong>, Liam Hemsworth<\/em><\/strong> as the role. He has the look, and all he needs is to just bulk up. I could see it, but thats just my opinion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
