Earlier this year at E3<\/strong>, Sony<\/strong> broke the news that the PSVita<\/strong> would be getting support to be able to play PSOne Classic<\/strong> games later this summer. While at Gamescon<\/strong> last week, they finally confirmed the date for this long awaited update.<\/p>\n The announcement has reveled that August 28th 2012<\/strong> is the set release date for the update, however, the announcement did reveal what many had been speculating since its initial reveal, that not all PSOne Classics<\/strong> will be available to play on the PSVita<\/strong> right away, and that the games will be gradually rolled out into compatibility over a period of time.<\/p>\n Final Fantasy VII<\/em><\/strong> and Tomb Raider<\/em><\/strong> were two of the titles that were mentioned and confirmed during Sony\u2019s Gamescom<\/strong> announcement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
