The 55-year old Bruce Wayne is forced to don the cape once more, this time partnering with a female Robin to not only stop the Joker but keep the peace when the city falls into chaos after being hit by an electromagnetic pulse.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em><br \/>\nThe Dark Knight Returns: Part 1<\/em><\/strong> will be available on DVD\/Blu-Ray\/Digital Download <strong>October 23rd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><del datetime=\"2012-07-11T22:58:06+00:00\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Thanks to the site Stark Industries we may actually have our first look at the Blu-ray\/DVD cover art for upcoming <strong>DC Animation&#8217;s<\/strong> feature, <strong><em>The Dark Knight Returns: Part 1<\/em>.<\/strong> The first part in the animated re-telling of <strong>Frank Miller&#8217;s<\/strong> famous graphic novel will hit shelves this October. While it doesn&#8217;t exactly scream <strong>Millar&#8217;s <em>The Dark Knight Returns<\/em><\/strong>, its still a very cool piece cover art.<\/span><\/del><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><del datetime=\"2012-07-11T22:59:48+00:00\"><br \/>\n<\/del><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>*Update: Image removed Per Warner Brother&#8217;s request.*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the article was posted, we recieved the following from Warner Brothers;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8221; We appreciate this image is something Dark Knight fans are interested in, but it is a photograph that has not been approved for release. It must have been leaked somehow. I&#8217;m sure you can understand that we have to abide by our productions rules and approvals and our relationships with talent, etc. in order to get the picture made and released in the proper manner so that fans can ultimately enjoy it when it is released. Accordingly, I hope that you will comply with out request to take the image down right away. Thank you very much for your cooperation and for being fans!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although, it doesn&#8217;t &#8220;confirm&#8221; that the artwork was real, it is interesting that WB felt the need to request us to have the image removed. For those of you who saw it, thats great, otherwise its going to be a few months until we get to see it again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>***UPDATE**** 7\/31\/12 **** The artwork is now confirmed by WB as true as shown in this new preview of the film.
