A few months ago, Jeff Robinov<\/strong> of Warner Brothers<\/strong> said;<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have the third Batman, but then we\u2019ll have to reinvent Batman\u2026Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But it turns out he was wrong.<\/p>\n

Recently, EW<\/a> caught up with Christopher Nolan<\/strong>, and when asked about the potential of being involved in any further Batman<\/strong> movies the director replied;<\/p>\n

\u201cnone at all.\u201d Nolan added, \u201cwe\u2019re finished with all we\u2019re doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Batman will outlive us all, and our interpretation was ours. Obviously, we consider it definitive and kind of finished. The great thing about Batman is he lives on for future generations to reinterpret, and obviously, Warner’s will have to decide in the future what they\u2019re going to do with him. We\u2019ve had our say on the character. \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any Justice League project.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Unfortunately this news seems to directly contradict what Jeff Robinov<\/strong> said last year. There is a part of me that finds this news upsetting, mainly because what Chris Nolan<\/strong> did with Batman<\/strong> will be very hard to top in any medium, but at the same time I feel that maybe it is time to have someone step in now. Hollywood knows what people want from Batman<\/strong> now, and maybe that will mean any incarnation in the future will be done in a similar fashion.<\/p>\n

Also as a nice side note, (and from what I’ve read online, it comes as a surprise to no one), Christian Bale<\/strong> says he hasn\u2019t talked to anyone at WB<\/strong> about taking part in Justice League<\/em><\/strong>, or any future Batman<\/strong> movies, or so he tells one station<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
