According to Variety<\/a>, DC<\/strong> & Warner Brothers<\/strong> are also now eying\u00a0 are still developing movies featuring Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lobo, The Suicide Squad, Shazam<\/em><\/strong> and Wonder Woman<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

While Green Lantern 2<\/strong><\/em> is still undecided, leaving the studio unsure if they want to make a sequel or whether or not to bring back Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> in a sequel or to simply, “relaunch the character in a completely new way.” It is entirely possible that they wouldn’t have to reboot the character, and just start a new one featuring John Stewart, Guy Gardner,<\/strong> or Kyle Rayner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Its also speculated that with next years new Zack Snyder<\/strong> Superman<\/strong> movie, The Man of Steel<\/strong><\/em>, will be the start of this new continuity and eventually lead to a new Batman<\/strong> series that fits in with them.<\/p>\n

With this report comes news that Michael Goldenberg<\/strong>, one of the writers attached to Green Lantern<\/em><\/strong>, has been hired to write Wonder Woman,<\/em><\/strong> and Brad Peyton<\/strong><\/em> is working on a current draft for Lobo<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

It is interesting to note that WB<\/strong> is pushing forward with all of these characters now, which could add some backing to the rumors that they are doing it in response to the success of The Avengers<\/em><\/strong>, or it could be simply because now without Harry Potter<\/strong><\/em>, they need a yearly financial booster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
