I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san. I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen. (1\/2) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KA5XW3lwul\">pic.twitter.com\/KA5XW3lwul<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u4efb\u5929\u5802\u682a\u5f0f\u4f1a\u793e (@Nintendo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nintendo\/status\/1945433161124688335?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 16, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wes Ball<\/strong> (<em>Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes<\/em>) will direct the film, while Nintendo and Sony will co-produce. The film follows the success of <em>The Super Mario Bros. Movie,<\/em> and Ball knows how important this franchise is to its fans. He previously said in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/legend-of-zelda-movie-wes-ball-awesome-idea\/\">Total Film<\/a> that &#8220;I want to fulfill people&#8217;s greatest desires. I know it&#8217;s important, this franchise, to people, and I want it to be a serious movie. A real movie that can give people an escape\u2026 [It has] to feel like something real.
