Her character, Gale Weathers, has been apart of every <em>Scream<\/em> film to date. Now, sources say that Courtney Cox is back for <em><strong>Scream 7<\/strong><\/em>. The latest installment in the series is under works, but it&#8217;s not been without a rocky start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, what&#8217;s the backstory? As far as horror movies go, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scream <\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>7<\/em> has<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">had a scary<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturednerd.org\/2023\/12\/scream-vii-director-steps-away-from-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">beginning<\/a>. First, it lost two of its leading actresses, <strong>Melissa Barrera<\/strong> and <strong>Jenna Ortega<\/strong>. Then, it was announced that its director, <strong>Christopher Landon<\/strong>, was stepping away from the project as well. The film now has <strong>Kevin Williamson<\/strong> as its director, and there are several names attached to the cast. Only time will tell if it continues to have smooth sailings or encounters more scary waters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Little is known about the upcoming horror flick as the plot of the film has yet to be released.
